Owners of the iPad/iPad 2, the 3GS and later iPhones (except the Verizon/CDMA iPhone 4), and the third/fourth gen iPod touch: fire up iTunes, there’s a Thursday surprise for you. iOS 4.3.2 is now available and adds these features and fixes:

I’ve been a big fan of Printopia since it first came out. It allows you to print from an iOS device to any printer on a wireless network or directly connected to a Mac.
After Apple’s half-hearted AirPrint feature was launched, people were pretty upset to learn that it worked on only a handful of HP printers. Printopia fixed that with an app that sits in your system preference window, and gets you printing to just about any printer you have. The…
Update: The Loop remains convinced this will not happen.
TUAW has seen an uptick in the number of rumors making their way around the blogosphere lately, purporting to know when the iPhone 5 will finally arrive. The latest is from Korea, where ETNews is reporting that the fifth-generation device is going to appear in June at an event to be held after WWDC.
The rumor doesn’t hold water when held up to Sony CEO Sir Howard Stringer’s recent comment that 8…
I liked Viber when I tested it several months ago. It’s an iPhone VoIP app that allows free phone calls to any phone that has the app installed. I thought the terrific audio quality, lack of ads and ease of setup were all positives.
Viber has been updated today to version 2.01 with free text messaging to all your Viber contacts. There are also notifications for incoming text messages, and the app has some small GUI improvements. Although Viber currently does not support the iPad or…
Although third-party AirPlay support debuted as part of the recent 4.3, apps that offer that support are now trickling in. AirPlay allows you to beam video from your iOS device to an Apple TV or to a third-party application, like Banana TV, without cables. The newly updated IMDB application (version 2.1) offers Watchlist (a way to keep track of movies that you want to watch), enhanced showtimes and ticket purchasing, and AirPlay support for trailers.
Unfortunately, you cannot use the new AirPlay features to watch Hulu…
A slowdown in Foxconn’s manufacturing may have a negative impact on the future supply of Apple products. According to Alex Guana of JMP Securities, “Hon Hai’s (Foxconn) growth decelerated from 84% (year over year) in the month of December to 37% in January and then again to 26% in February.”
The reasons for this deceleration are not known, but the slowdown is concerning enough that JMP has downgraded its outlook on Apple from “Market Outperform” to “Market Perform.” This unfavorable assessment is not based on the…
Ngmoco has surprised us with some updates. Rolando and its sequel Rolando 2 have both been updated for the iPhone 4′s Retina Display and have had a few bug issues fixed. To celebrate the update, they’re both on sale for just US$0.99. Either one of these is a bargain at that price. They’re both very solid, original platformers, designed specifically for the iOS system.
What’s most interesting about this, though, is that Ngmoco has updated these at all. Rolando was one of…
The social music discovery service Rdio has gotten an iPhone facelift; the company’s app has a bunch of new features in version 1.0 (released today), including a key improvement for users who sync their music from Rdio down to their phones for offline access.
Much like Apple’s Ping social layer for iTunes, Rdio gives music recommendations and listings based on what your friends like to listen to — but it also gives you direct access to the music, letting you play it on the company’s website or…
